DAY
1: Cusco / Lares / Waca Wasi.
- The departure for lares hike / lares trek starts
with transfer from your cusco hotel or any place at early morning “06:00”hours and drive to Calca
“town in the sacred valley of InKas”, after a brief stop we
continue driving on truck road up to the highest point Chayña
pass
at 4265 masl. Fron this point we are be able tosee the Sawasiray
and pitusiray mountains, and before descending into the warm valley
we can understand how our lares hike / lares trek is going
to look like. Our program, is named lares hike / lares trek
because there is a town named Lares; Its a typical colonial village with a church,
at the main plaza; This is the point where we meet our
muleteers and keep driving for 10 more minutes up to Lares hot baths, in our lares trek, lares
hike we take a bath in the swimming
pools of 35, 40 and 45 Celsius,

after a relaxing time we will lunch and start our lares hike / lares
trek. Our trail ascends towards the community of Waca Wasi (3780 m), a
charming little community of small houses built from mud
brick and thatched with grass, on the way we can see
lama herders, weavers, and kids with their typical clothes.

DAY
2: Waca Wasi / Waca Wasi pass / Mantanay.-
as in most of our hikes the lares hike, lares trek second
day is the hardest. After nutritious breakfast we re-start our lares
hike, lares trek through Waca Wasi
village, place where we observe kids on their traditional clothes
running to the school, older women weaving in their yards, and
llamas walking from their fences to the mountains for their food, we

Huahua qasa pass at 4400 m a s l,
before descending to Arorayqocha and
Millpoqocha “lakes” formed by the melt waters of Pumahuanca and Q´apacsaya
snow peaks. This section of lares

unique and unforgettable landscape through
the Urubamba Mountain Range, from the high point we descend
for about 30 minutes to the lunch point at the bank of
beautiful lake, after a siesta we continue walking for about
1.5 hours to the second camp site at mantanay, where we
spend the lat night of the lares hike, lares trek in a lush
forest valley. With
luck will be able to see an ample spot of Andean birds, and

DAY
3: Mantanay / Yanahuara / Cusco.-

We descend towards a lush forest of Qeuña trees, clears
streams and farming area. After 3.5 hours we arrive to the
Community of Yanahuara and its agreeable climate at altitude
of 2800 meters, the tiny hamlet of Yanahuara is located in
the sacred valley of inkas, (Urubamba province) it is the
breadbasket of Cusco, with its terraced slopes sown with
corn and watered by the glaciers of the great snow peaks
streams, by Yanahuara crosses a river called Wllcamayu, which was worshipped by Inkas as a “Holy River”. We lunch, and after
we take a transport back to Cusco where our lares hike / lares trek ends.

Our lares hike /
lares trek has optional extension
to Machu Picchu for additional price. From yanahuara at 20 minutes
by car there is located Ollantaytambo (train station) from where we
train departs in the afternoon to Aguas Calientes and spend the night.
Day 04: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco.
After an early rise and breakfast we’ll take the first bus up to the
archaeological complex of Machu Picchu (2400m). A few moments later
we’ll enter in this untouched Inka-sanctuary to have a guided tour
with a professional guide. After this tour that will last for about
two hours you’ll have plenty of time to wonder around the city by
yourself…And for the bravest among us there is always the ascension
to Huayna Picchu or the nearby Temple of the Moon. We’ll all meet
afterwards to go down to Aguas Calientes (2050m) where we’ll take
our train back to Cusco. For more info send a message with lares

lares trek / lares hike Itinerary:
Day 1.- Cusco – Cancha cancha. -
for our lares trek / lares hike we pick you up from your hotel at around
6 am and travel by bus for approximately 2 hours to Huaran (2840m/9317ft), a small village in the Sacred Valley and the start of the trek. We will meet our horseman and mules here and begin the beautiful hike through the lush valley, following the gentle uphill route of the Cancha Cancha River. It will take about 5 hours to reach the picturesque village of the same name where we will set up camp for the night (3800m/12467ft).
Day 2: Cancha cancha – Kishuarani. After having breakfast, we will leave the campsite and begin a steep ascent to Pachacutec Pass (4458m/14625ft) the highest point of the trek. From here there are spectacular views of the snow-peaked mountain, Pitusiray, Pachacutec Lake and the surrounding valleys. After the pass, we continue walking and descend into the next valley to reach Quiswarani village (3700m/12138ft) where will spend the night. Along the route, the scenery is breathtaking – there are glacial lakes, waterfalls and snow-peaked mountains. The
lares trek / lares hike area is also rich in birdlife with possibility
to see Andean ibis, geese and flamingoes amongst others.
Day 3: Kishuarani – Kuncani - Lares. We will have breakfast and start an ascent of about 3 hours to reach the Huillquik´asa Pass (4200m/13779ft) the second highest pass of the
lares hike / lares trek. The views are impressive and worth the climb! After this, we descend towards the village of Cuncani, passing beautiful turquoise lakes along the way. We continue descending after Cuncani until we arrive at Lares’ Hot Springs. We will spend the night in a nearby campsite (3860m/12663ft).
Day 4:
Lares hike – Cusco. After breakfast, the morning will be spent some time to enjoy the hot springs for
a well-deserved reward after the trek!!! From Lares we will take our transport stright to Cusco and will arrive late afternoon. our service will end with the transfer to your hotel.
