Itinerary

Day 01: ARRIVAL AT LIMA (154 m.a.s.l.). Arrival to Jorge Chavez International Airport, reception, transfer and accommodation in hotel  Overnight.

 

Day 02:  LIMA / PARACAS / ICA (0 m.a.s.l.) .- Departure to Paracas on private transport. (250km approximately 3:30-hour journey). Then, continue to Chincha (km200) for lunch and visit the Pisco distillery of Santo Tomas where the famous Pisco Montesierpe is made. Arrive in Ica, accommodation at hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight. (AB - L)

 

Day 03:  ICA / NASCA (588 m.a.s.l.) .- Depart to Nasca on private transport (km 220, almost a 3-hour journey). On the way, visit the Huacachina oasis in Ica. Then, continue to the Nasca airport to overflight the famous lines and figures of the Pampa (optional flight) After the flight, accommodation at the hotel. Visit the Antonini Museum and conference with slides proyection of the Nasca culture and lines. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight. (AB - L)

 

Day 04: NASCA / AREQUIPA (2,335 m.a.s.l.).- Depart to Arequipa on private transport (km 560 approximately 9-hour journey) On the way, visit the ruins of Puerto Inca. Arrive in Arequipa in the afternoon and accommodation at hotel. Overnight. (AB - D)

 

Day 05:  AREQUIPA.- Morning to tour rhe city and the Monastery of Santa Catalina. Lunch at restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight (AB – L).

 

Day 06: AREQUIPA / COLCA CANYON (3,633 m.a.s.l.).- Departure from Chivay on private transport (km 170 approximately 4:30-hour journey) Arrive at noon and accommodation at hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to visit the surroundings of this beautiful place. Overnight. (AB - D)

 

Day 07: COLCA CANYON / PUNO (3,827 m.a.s.l.).- Morning to visit the Cruz del Condor vantage point, where one can admire the canyon at its deepest point. If weather conditions allow it ,one may observe the majestic flight of the condors in search of food.  (For less than 15 passengers our guide returns to Arequipa after the excursion and the transfer from Chivay to Puno will be in charge of our expert driver.) After the visit depart to Puno on private transport. (km 300, aapproximately 6-hour journey) Arrive in the afternoon and accommodation at hotel. Overnight (AB – L - D).

 

Day 08:  PUNO.- Morning excursion at Lake Titicaca to visit the floating islands of the Uros. In the afternoon, excursion to the necropolis of Sillustani, tower burials on the shores of lake Umayo. Overnight. (AB - D)

 

Day 09: PUNO / CUSCO (3,399 m.a.s.l.) Transfer to bus station and departure to Cusco on public tour bus (SIC service - 296km, approximately 8-hour journey  - Spanish/English speaking guide). Lunch at restaurant. On the way, visit the ruins of Pukara and Raqchi and the town and chapel of Andahuaylillas. Arrive in Cusco in the afternoon,  transfer and accommodation at hotel. Overnight

Day 10: CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS (2,846 m.a.s.l.).- Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the morning, visit the Indian craft market of Pisac. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo. After the visit, Accommodation at hotel in Yucai. Overnight (AB – L - D).

 

Day 11:  SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO.- Transfer to Ollantaytambo´s station and departure on tourist train to Aguas Calientes (Backpacker train).  Arrival and transfer to ruins in minivan. Guided visit to Machu Picchu.  In the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes to lunch at restaurant and later depart on tourist train back to Cusco. Arrive at Pory station, reception and transfer to hotel. Overnight  (AB – L - D)

 

Day 12: CUSCOMorning visit of the city´s historical monuments and  “barrios,” as well as the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qengo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and show at restaurant. Overnight (AB – D)

 

Day 13: CUSCO / LIMA.- Transfer to airport and departure to Lima on scheduled flight. Arrival, reception, transfer and accommodation in hotel. In the afternoon, tour of the city and the Archeological Museum. Farewell dinner at restaurant. Overnight (AB – D).

 

Day 14:  DEPARTURE FROM LIMA.- Transfer to airport at scheduled time for departure on international flight. (AB).

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco. - Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon guided tour in the city and 04 archaeological sites. *(NM)

 

Day 2-3: Cusco – Killarumiyoc – Andenes – Maras Moray and the Sacred Valley of inkas. - Breakfast in the hotel and transfer at 08:00 hrs, and visit Killarumiyoc (inka site), Andenes (biggest inka farming terraces), Chinchero (colonial temple), afternoon visit to moray (Inka experimental terraces) and Salineras (salt mines) transport to Ollantaytambo and spend the night in hostel. Day two early breakfast and sighting Ollantaytambo, Pisaq market and archaeological site,  our tour Includes several markets and Inka archaeological sites that were built during the Inca state period, .Meet with Andean farmers, dressed in traditional clothing and back to Cusco at around 18.00 hrs. Day 4: Machupicchu. -  Early breakfast in the hotel, Transfer to Train station, Departure in the chosen train to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Town), bus to Machupicchu with its respect guiding tour and free time for leisure, return to Aguas Calientes by bus, train back to Cusco and transfer to your hotel *(B – L)

Day 4: River Rafting or Horse Riding. -  Choice for one of the tours, departure at 09:00hrs  for River in the Sacred Valley(rafting) of up to the mountains on cusco ( horse riding) where our guide will give us an introductory briefing on safety and equipment for our trip Class II, III. rapids, or 4 hours horse ride depending on which you decide. We return to Cusco, arriving at around 17:00 hrs from rafting, 14 hrs from horse ride.

 

 

Day 5: Inka trail day 01. - Breakfast and transport to Inka trail check point Km 82, From Cusco to Machupicchu railroad in the Village of Piscacuchu from where we start the trail crossing the Vilcanota river to see the Inka site of Huillca Raccay. 12 Km of walk, overnight in tent *B + L + D

 

Day 6: Huayllabamba – Pacaymayu.- A tough day of climbing ascending to 4,200 m(13,700 feets ) There are toilet facilities, overnight in tent Camping at Pacaymayu, *B + L + D.

 

Day 7: Pacaymayu – Wiñay wayna.- One of the most beautiful parts of the inka trail ,exploration of the stupendous archaeological sites such as Phuyupatamarca, Intipata and Wiñayhuayna, overnight in tents in Wiñay huayna. *B +L + D

 

Day 8: Wiñay Huayna – Machupicchu. - Early walk 4:00 am to reach the Intipunku ( sun gate ) and enjoy the fantastic view of the Machupicchu wonder, Afternoon  train back to cusco and transfer to your hotel * B

 

Day 9:  Leisure day in Cusco.

 

Day 10: Cusco - Cloud Forest (Manu cultural zone)- Note: Luggage weight allowance is only 22 pounds/person (10 Kg/person) Things you should bring for the Manu Trip: Insect repellent , long sleeved shirts, sandals , plastic bags for clothes and camera , hat , sun block, sun glasses flashlight , rain gear .Early departure towards the Andes to reach the highest point Acjanacu pass at 1:00 p.m. Here we will have a box lunch near to the southern most tip of the Manu Biosphere here we will be able to enjoy the magnificent views of the elfin forest , cloud forest and the lowland Amazon basin.  Overnight in camping at Posada san Pedro lodge *B + BL + D

 

Day 11: Cloud Forest – Manu River. - We will take an early hike to observe the ritual mating dance of the cock-of the rock (Peruvian national bird right before your eyes). Afterwards back to the lodge for breakfast. We’ll continue by bus crossing the cloud forest with its exuberant vegetation through the village of Atalaya, we will take the motorized dugout canoes to navigate down the Alto Madre de Dios river to Boca Manu during 7 hrs, over night in camping* (B + L + D

 

Day 12: The parrots clay licks Otter observing tower.- We early morning go though jungle to see up the Manu river enjoying the great sites along the river side birds, herons, vultures ,cormorants , some of 13 species of monkeys. And came back to the the ledge to spend the night, Over night at Campsite deep inside Manu. *B+ L + D

 

Day 13: Manu - Cusco 04: This day we will get up very early to board our boat again for only five minutes down river to the Parrot clay Lick called “Collpa” on the riverbanks, where species of parrots such as the blue headed parrot, white-eyed parakeet, feed for mineral and salt supplements to their diet of seeds and fruits, then we continue to Atalaya Port where the bus will drive us to Cusco city, arriving late in the night and transfer to your hotel * B

Day 14: Last day in Cusco City.- Breakfast and transport to Airport depending on your schedule
